I was visiting a mate's layout yesterday and tried out my new keyfob camera. Mounted it on an outrigger pointing along the loco for the first scene and then on a wagon behind the loco for a run around part of the line. The camera was not level in this long run segement - you can see the black triangles in the corners where I rotated the file using VirtualDub. Removed the time/date at the same time. Quality from camera was better - I suspect my use of MPEG compression has affected it.

Impressive!!

That is pretty good. How much and where did you get the Keyfob camera? Can you post a link? Looks to be just the job for on board Vids.

That line looks like it can be operated to a Timetable. Do you?

No we never run timetables. We like 'operating' but we just make it up as we go along. Drop a few wagons off in a siding and pick some up somewhere else. But it is a great line for doing this. Keith has 'honed' his design over the last couple of years to make it more 'user-friendly' for us visitors. Those who want, can go round-and-round. Others can 'operate'.

It's a good example of an evolving plan and shows you can never get it right first time. You'll always be making changes.
