Hi all.
Its been a little wet here of late so the track laying and gardening team have been at a loose end.
I told them to get on with fitting that Cliff Barker system to the taurus that has been sat there for a month. Their union flatly refused to install high tech electronics to a shabbily painted loco and demeanded it be repainted to something they recognised.
The unions got involved and I rolled over and let them get their way. (the last thing we need is a strike if the sunshine comes back out.)
so I left the gang to it, the workshop supervisor is a lover of the UK Class 89 locomotive, (seen here: http://www.therailwaycentre.com/Pages Loco/Recognition loco/Illus_89.html ) and he loosely based his livery on this- when it was in swallow colours. He still insists in calling it a baby Avocet, and has requested name plates which are yet to be budgeted for.
I hope you all like what has been done. I know rivet counters will turn their back on my workforce, but they do like to put their stamp on things. Its a good security mechanism, no one in their right mind would steal it!.
Sorry about the poor light I had to wait for the rain to stop before I could take the phots and by then darkness was seting in.
