Swift Sixteen New Stuff

Nice, very nice. Just had a look and a measure. Most single motor G scale will fit. Also the Trainline Mallet will but the LGB Saxon Meyer wont.
The V52 is a tight squeeze but just about OK. the track cleaner is OK too. The Harz 2-6-2 is close but OK.

What wont.
LGB 2-10-2, obviously
LGB 0-6-6-0 Mallet
Piko Kamel
LGB Frank S
LGB Saxon IIK
LGB Saxon Meyer

Oh dear, more things to study in detail at Peterborough on Saturday..........!

The swing could be increased a few more mm if the rail ends were allowed to overhang the capstones Of course too much would risk the rails catching and bending. Code 320 is pretty strong though.

I know what you mean Chris. Also decided that I now need a fleet of medium box vans too.

Yes, at least five.. Or seven.. Or nine.. .. ..
And, a couple of works vans, and lots and lots of tankers!!
:):clap::clap::clap:

Can't beat a fleet of box vans.

I'm just looking carefully at the photos of the t/table and wondering if it would be easy to motorise.

I was thinking along the lines of a through shaft, and a large dia disc on the underside, and running a small electric screwdriver against the edge, giving a slow turn. The usual probs of stopping in the right place would still be there of course.

Saw this at the Stafford show, week or so BEFORE G-Rail...
Very nice, very desirable, will stand being outside, as long as the pit does not fill with water..

About £395
Which for the calibre of the equipment, I reckon is worth every penny..
**considering as a replacement for the drive system on the Harz layout**
No connection, just impressed.

Hmm... not sure about that Swift Sixteen turntable, very nice but very short. Seems to me the locos that fit it are likely to be tanks or small diesels that are designed to run in both directions and wouldn't typically need to be turned very often.

As this appears to be something of a van fest, I decided to get in on the act.
