Surely there is something else "NEW" than an overpriced attempt at a rather useless rail cleaner....

The new issue of Gartenbahn Profi that I received a few days ago has quite a lot of new stuff featured.... but mostly from smaller German companies that you have to buy from direct.
There is a big article on the new DB Class 103 coming soon from Piko.

Jon.

On the other side of the coin, the cottage industry of kit built products (mainly 16mm-ish models) is thriving here, and much of this stuff is suitable for 45mm track :nod:

Latest Garden Rail magazine has a splash on the cover for five new loco's..

Come on Greg...tell everyone about your latest order (Whenever they get delivered) of 10, USTrains heavyweight passenger cars...they of course will be in 1:29th scale, on Gauge 1 track...
Few of us poor working class, sods will be able to afford even one coach, but we will still be able to stare at the models, like the overgrown children that we are, looking at the candy jar in an overpriced trendy boutique...!!!
No offence meant, in any way. I hope you get years of pleasure from them. I'll be long dead and buried, by the time they hit the used toy market...!!

That will be a sight to behold behind the AABBA set up :clap::clap::clap::clap:

Maybe the regular market...No guaranty they will come out when USA says... :wondering:

The dealers I talk to are pretty sure they will show up soon, as they have been showing prototypes for some time. But, again they are not here until they are here.

In any case, at least one of the 1:29 companies is making something, expensive or not.

Would like an update on the USAT loco, that will be a nice one. Until then, I'm working on trackwork and bridges, and making my layout so people can walk on bridges over the track, rather than try to get across and stomp on the ties.

I'm also in Z scale, and I have a nice brass Baldwin 0-4-0 coming:

It will run on my layout that fits on a 1:29 flat car (and running DCC)

I use 7x binocular magnifiers...

But it has it's place too, you can model miles and miles of track in a small space, indoors when it is cold, like under 60 degrees...

I run the flat car on a DCC layout, and pick up power, drop it with a few diodes and then feed it to the DCC Z scale loco... so it runs around and can be controlled while the flat car is moving...

Stop moaning, you haven't got any money to spend anyway. :-)

Do what the rest of us do, sigh deeply while leafing through old LGB catalogs...

Actually, the street price is pretty low, the non battery powered one was purchased here in the US for $156, hardly overpriced.

And "useless"... we all know you are battery power Fred, but calling a track cleaner useless? Is this because you only see things through "battery power" eyes?

Let's all be happy that Piko made an actual scale model of a real locomotive, that actually still exists, whether you personally want one or not.

Sending negative waves to Piko surely won't help them think positively about making more US rolling stock, and lord knows, we need more.

Greg

There is a somersault signal kit in the pipeline. I have the pilot model here on my desk to assemble and paint, also a few design bugs to refine and sort out so will post the pictures and details soon.

These are new and only recently in stock.
Accucraft New South Wales Government Railways C-38 4-6-2. In gas, alcohol, electric and un-motorized (for display). Streamlined and un-streamlined, various liveries.
Just as well it is in 1:32 and not narrow gauge or I'd have to sell my car to get one...:shake:

Yep, you can't help thinking that if you don't do European, in ready-to-run terms it's only Accucraft to keep us going now o_Oo_O

not much seems to be happening in 1 20,3 usa at the mo,,, would like to see some more RGS stuff like box cars or stock cars that ran on the rgs and maby the c&s,, even white pass,, and some of the 4000 series drgw box cars would be nice
i know there are kits but i will be dead in 40 years or so and time goes so fast,,,
on the other hand 7/8ths is becoming more popular on both sides of the pond but its still only a cottage industry

I do not buy Garden Rail that often but there would appear to be enough new locomotive announcements (5) in the November Issue to keep us going?

1 Roundhouse Jennie 0-4-2 Basic Series Loco with Tender as an extra. 32 or 45mm Gauges available.
2,3 Accucraft 2 x 0-4-0 Talgarth Side Tank and Sabrina a Saddle Tank there may be Electric Versions, notes not too clear.
4 Mamod Battery Electric Steam Tram.
5 P Line Fowler Jack Shaft Diesel.

Plus plenty of other new items as well, not least a whole bunch of kits from North Pilton and Bowaters Models. There must be something of interest for some one?
