Stainz suddenly starts running backwards!!!

Hi

So tested my stainz yesterday which i have recently installed a Massoth eMOTION L Decoder into. However it seems to be doing this very strange thing where when i goes over a point, (so loses contact for a split second) the loco comes to a stop and then reverses back the other way. The i'm using the massoth central system control panel with no sensors or anything like that conected. I must point out this does not happen ever time it goes over a point! and is very intermittent.

Any ideas what i should change (guessing its a CV value somewhere) to get this loco to run normally like all of my others.

(i can send across the decorder template doc used if that will help)

Thanks

You could try turning off the ability to run on DC (if you never use DC). It's bit 2 of CV29. That sometimes sorts out errant locos.

To be honest though, first port of call should be to check and clean the wheels and pickups. A Stainz with all its wheels and skates clean should have enough pickups to negotiate pointwork without losing contact.

Is it always the same point and always with the loco facing a particular direction?

If the loco has a power-buffer, you must turn off analogue running!

?does the 'L' support the shuttle function? - I think it is only the XLS that allows this??

Its an outside layout so its the track which i belevie is causing the problem with the loco picking up power, but it is not causing this problem on any of my other loco's.

Will give turning CV29 a go!
Any other suggestions?

No power buffer in this loco, if the "L" does not support shuttle running well i think i have just found out it is possible to program it to shuttle ;)

Before I bought MTS III and Massoth Navi combination to run my trains, I ran MTS II - and because the signal between the central station and the hand controller was weak and intermitent, I found that local broadband signals would interfere with my locos - they would shoot off at top speed without any input from me, and I seem to recall an instant reversal that you have experienced a couple of times too.
What control set up are you using ?

Its a massoth central station, and a Massoth Navi.
It interesting that i have only experienced this on a few points! so it like kind of predictable.
