Too much of a good thing is nearly enough.
Since George moved across the country from Norwich to Bristol the Sprowston and Norwich has seen very little regular use.
Last Sunday George poped back to visit his parents, so a running day was quickly organised.
The sun stayed away all day, but it was bright and warm so a very plasant day was enjoyed.
Cambrai was waiting in the station for things to start
Whikst Dragon was on the shed, raising steam.
Dragon was soon out though, and ran very well all day
Whitlingham Lakes was the other steamer in use
A selection of Mamod and Willesco engines were also in steam at once,
requiring quite a team of engineers to fuss over them
This Mamod was gently chuffing away to itself away from the rest of them
The vegetation has run riot without regular services, so a team was valiantly cutting it back
They did a good job, although larger engines like the Dash9s could only just squeeze through
