Today's good weather saw the year's first running on the Westleigh Light Railway (apart from some New Year steam specials). The first train was the steam tram propelling the track cleaning wagon.
It soon became clear that the track in the cutting had suffered badly over the winter. A combination of moles shovelling mounds of earth on to the track and the kids riding over it on their bikes! The track was lifted and reballasted. The track cleaning train is seen on the restored track, although some more ballast is needed.
Finally the train with the tool wagon made its way round the whol circuit.
