I'm making a tender out of one of these and would like it to have spoked wheels.

What alternatives might have the the correct wheel diameter and axle length?

I think Bachmann wheels can be swapped straight in for these, which would mean that Lilliput spoked wheels should fit too.

Spoked Wheels

The Bachmann/Lilliput replacements are around 30mm in diameter. I can't access my Hartland stock to measure at the moment due to the lockdown. Might someone else have one to hand?

I think the wheels are smaller than the Bachmann/Lilliput ones Ricky?

If I get a chance tomorrow, I'll get a wagon out and have a measure....

The B’mann 24mm ones fit nicely, but the coupler height has dropped by 4mm (32 - 24 )/2. There is a 4mm rectangular ‘lump’ which looks like it was added to enable 32mm wheelsets. Remove this lump, and trim down the remaining part of the coupler mount. The coupling is now back at the correct height.
I posted a while back a picture of two wagons on HLW chassis, one with 32mm wheels, one with 24mm, all sets B,Mann metal.

Yep, I can’t think of any 24mm spoked metal wheels either!!
I have seen it done, can’t remember where, spokes had been painted on disc wheels, you needed to look twice to realise that it wasn’t spoked. Especially when in motion.

24mm metal spoked wheels.....
Can be found on the front bogie on a Bachmann 460!

But they are internal bearings, so some work needed to adapt for outside bearings.

Slaters Plastikard do lots of small wheels with spokes. Check out the 16mm range, and ask for 45mm axles when you order. These 2 are 1' and 1' 3" at 1:19th scale. (5/8" to 3/4" actual.)
