Hi Folks,

We made a return visit to Sandwell Valley Railway yesterday and filmed our Sandy River No 24 slipping her wheels in the rain.

Here's the video and hope you enjoy watching and 'Yes' we did get very wet!

That looks great. i like the steady , almost slow, pace of the spin.

Hi, Thanks for the post. We had a fun time filming this yesterday although we did get very wet. We have slowed down Sandy River's spinning wheels in the edit just to add to the effect but she is still a wonderful loco all the same.

Cheat! ;) No. It looks great anyway.

Hi, There's lots of cheating going on in the making of a Pine Tree Junction video. You can never really trust those PTJ chaps to show it as it is. Great fun!

:o beautifully done, on a fantatic line ;D

Lovely film, Lovely loco :) the thumbs up smiley has bitten the dust.

Very enjoyable.......lovely layout :)
Thanks for the great comment. It was great fun to film and edit. Sandy River's wheels started to slip which gave us the idea for the video. Sandwell Valley is a brilliant garden railway and looked fantastic in the autumn rain.

Thanks for the great comment. Sandwell Valley is a really fantastic railway and great fun to film. There are so many angles and views it's brilliant to make a live steam video.

Wow! Thanks for the great comment and the thumbs up.

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's ox! But I surely wish I had that loco. Pure magic - very atmospheric video.

Hi, Wow! thanks for the great comment. We are very lucky to have this Roundhouse live steam masterpiece. What superb folks they are in Doncaster for making such a magnificent loco. She looks fantastic on the Sandwell Valley Railway and it was a great pleasure to film her there this week. Thanks for the post and we shall have to film her again on the SVR sometime, hopefully in the dry next time!

There were a few leaves on the line on Monday when the video was taken, but after the high winds and heavy rain today the railway isn`t really looking its best.

No trains or filming today then Keith. Thanks for a great day this week. Sandwell Valley Railway is the best!

That is genius the railway, loco, train , filming and editing are perfect. And well done for keeping going whatever the weather!

Hi, What a brilliant comment. Thanks so much. We had a great time visiting Sandwell Valley Railway again and many, many thanks to Keith and Jean for their superb hospitably. It looks like their garden railway is covered with leaves again now but it was perfect for filming our Sandy River in the rain.
