LGB 20261 Rugen 0-6-0TT inc motorised tender with DCC, sound and OVP

This is the first and oldest version of this loco. There have been at least six other versions since. The original is DC only with two motors, directional and cab lights, and a smoke generator.

I have fitted a Massoth XL motor decoder with Uhlenbrock IS4 SUSI sound decoder, 40mm 8 ohm 2W speaker, Massoth uncoupler on tender controlled by Massoth 8FL function decoder and Massoth flickering firebox light. I removed the standard LGB figure but it will be included if desired.

I have made some minor cosmetic changes to the loco. I removed the brass boiler bands, which will be included if you want to refit. I have replaced the gold lamp rings with black ones (again originals will be included), painted the bell, whistle, and cab steps black, and hand rails red, all as per the prototype. I opened up the firebox door to allow for the firebox light, and removed the LGB 4-way switch. The smoke generator is okay for a basic non-pulsed unit.

The model is in excellent condition as is the box. It was basically new (previous owner but unused) when I got it in March 2018 and I have only used it indoors. It has “skates” on both loco and tender and all 10 wheels act as pickups so that is 14 pickup points in all. There are no problems creeping over R1 points. It is a very good runner and very weighty so with 10 powered wheels (no traction tyre) it should be able to pull quite a load. I have “tamed” the motors with DCC CV settings to reduce the rather manic default top speed. Other owners have reported an imbalance between the loco motor and the tender motor but I have not been able to discern any on this model.

This loco is a very good facsimile of the prototype, although slightly over scale, more like 1:19 than 1:22.5. I like this loco but not as much as all my others! I am trying to raise funds to buy a Train Line 45 model, so sadly it has to go.

I am asking £550 plus £10 P&P to UK address. If you would rather not have all the fancy features (such as firebox glow, uncoupler, sound) I am prepared to remove any or all of them and we can discuss a reduced price.
