Listen, I know everyone loves the first snowfall. But let's hope that this one is the last for this year.
Bagh Humbug!

Snow? What snow? It has been bright and sunny here all day even though it is brass monkeys.

PS My son phoned, he is stuck in snow S of Oban, looks as if he is in for a long, long night with a baby and a child under 3 in the car!

The latest is that they have begun to move. He was all set to abandon the car and trek back to Tarbet - he had got as far as Loch Lomond, if I could find an hotel - unlikely given the number of vehicles stuck.
I think they are well prepared but a night stuck in a car in snow is no joke even without children.

The Scottish Road Traffic site is no help as it appears to have crashed due to the number of hits.

u mean scottish land??...GOD... tht is the worse weather in scotland.....it not nice to have kids and baby stuck in the car in snow......awful...so wishes all the snow melt fast!!!!! hw high is the snow? mine is over 5 inches but newcastle 1o inches but last yt we have HEAVY SNOWFALL for months!!!!!.....terrible....no school for weeks!!!

[align=center]i once got stuck near L Lomond and went to an hotel for food, got a miserable cheese sandwich that was inedible and went away disgusted 'three star place as well, that was the middle of summer , not the place to be this week, and anything to do with that so called independant state of Ecosse', no wonder nothing works, its seasonal.

The West coast of Loch Lomond has always struck me as McBlackpool in terms of style over substance, kilt factories and bagpipe factories included. :bleh:

Good news my son has now got out of the jam after 8hrs and is approaching Glasgow. Only 5hrs to go. I hope they have enough nappies!!!!!!!
