Time 30mins past midnight and the snow has been falling for a bit. Too late to get the plow working and definitely too late to get the ski train set up so just got a few quick shots off before retiring to a nice cosy bed.
Still falling hard so maybe too much for plowing in the morning....we'll see......

Very nice photo's Mike

Re:Snow comes to BCRR but it starts late

Hi Richie, Ian and Allen.
Those shots were taken after midnight last night but we have had awee bit more snow since then...a lot more snow...'tis about 6" (15cm) now.
Will try to see what I can do to get some rotary action....................

Very nice Mike....

Re:Snow comes to BCRR but it starts late

Well the snow got deeper and deeper and it was a daunting task for the rotary to take on. It would have a flanger behind and two locos for power...would it prevail?

After unclogging the rotary twice it was time to give one more go

Re:Snow comes to BCRR but it starts late

Before I had fun with the snow plow train and then the Ski Train I got some shots that show the covering of the snow on the layout.

Re:Snow comes to BCRR but it starts late

Lovely photo's of your Rotary OM & OD flanger in the deep snow

Re:Snow comes to BCRR but it starts late

Thanks Richie...unfortunately there was just too deep snow for the rotary and it just kept on getting clogged....the flanger worked just fine! (but it is Accucraft and is made of metal and weighs a ton, so it stood up to the task admirably)

Re:Snow comes to BCRR but it starts late

Thanks James..Yes good fun was had! Really, there should be a coal tender and a water tender following behind the rotary (like with Richie's beautiful kitbash) but that is a project for another time! The rotary found the snow more than its match but the Accucraft flanger was a real hero.

Re:Snow comes to BCRR but it starts late
