Smith's Model Railways opening in Sheringham

We were out on the NNR today and walking down Sheringham High Street I noticed that Auto-Loco (a second hand model and model railway shop which in my experience was rarely open) was now closed with the windows all whitewashed and decorators inside. A notice on the windows said that Smith's Model Railways were opening up shortly. They don't do G gauge, but there may be things of interest in the general line.

I'm looking forward to looking in on it.
Autoloco was a great shop, but as you said, it's opening times were a bit hit and miss

Saw that last week when we were there, but I forgot to post this week!

4G very flakey up there, so no interweb.

Hope it's a success; it should help with the NNR close by....

I know the young man that is opening the shop, he is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about railways. I believe the shop is due to open mid October. I hope he makes a success of the venture.

I visit a couple of times a year and it was hit-or-miss if Auto-Loco was open. I was there about five years ago and they were just putting an LGB starter set with extra wagons and track in the window. I got the lot for £100. Don't know the set number but it had a hopper wagon and a another with a Unimog as a load. Never took it out of the box - it's in the garage somewhere.

I'll give you £110 for it, Mike!
Hmmmmm. In view of the Bachmann Disney boxcar highlighted earlier today I think you've missed a couple of zeros west of the decimal point Phil. Must be worth it - from memory I believe it had sound AND smoke. I'll check on my next expedition.
