More details in the Track and Track laying section in the thread entitled ..."elevated rack rail using decking planks".

This is a friends rack railway, he claims its the longest and highest in England. :D

Even more extensive use of decking planks. Beats me hands down :).

Wonderful!

currently, I don't have a rack section, but do enjoy running the little shoebox things anyway.
I have always loved the bright intense lights and the low gearing on them.
Being so ....short and ugly?.....I find them endearing.

the ballenburg, imho, is one of LGBs better scaled models
mine doesn't smoke worth a damn, however. I think it has something to do with the digital ready electronics, because I have others that seem to only wisp if designated 'decoder ready'.

Since these were taken I was lucky enough to get more Ballenburg coaches and the baggage too. One of the more unusual passenger offerings with that center axel.

post house remodel, temp set up after normal ROW gone for 9 months due to workers and construction in the garden
top notch track engineering as you can see. ;)

was still fun as it was early spring and days of full sun, then snow.
