The Seaport and Beachtown went to the 2nd Kirkbean Playmobil Exhibition last weekend. Kirkbean is a small village in Dumfries and Galloway and is the birthplace of John Paul Jones (founder of the US Navy). Over the August Bank Holiday weekend (30th July to 1st August) £650 was raised for village hall funds.

Well done good for you :thumbup::thumbup: is that your playmo castle in the background ours is somewhat smaller but keep adding to it

Thanks, Tony, but I was one of four Playmobil owners who exhibited, the bulk of the displays coming from the exhibition organiser. (My contribution was fire stuff you can see, the railway and the construction stuff by and large.)

The castle is a custom Hogwarts. There was also Hogsmeade, including Hogwarts Express.

Very Good:thumbup: A decent amount of track too - seems to give quite a smooth ride.

Thanks, Mick. The boards were rather roughly held togther and laid on tables so there were one or two ups and downs where boards joined, but overall it was pretty good. I'd misjudged how much room I would have when I planned things on the drive at home and so had to chop things down a bit and rejig the overall approach, but it worked well and the kids who had drives enjoyed it.

Next outing is February, 2012, when I have a 40ft to go at - 32ft straight and 8ft right angle stretch - which will be raised at the back of a landscape layout, town, farm and seaside. Thankfully, I'm just providing the railway and the seaside and some bits of the town.
