Earlier in the year, many pounds where spent in a certain yellow coloured flat pack furniture supplier, which resulted in a book case called Billy being purchased. I wanted one with doors on to display model trains, which has worked very well. It was fitted in a darker corner of the room, so you could never really see the models clearly. Some hours later, and after a bit of soldering, the trains can now be seen clearly...IMAG5025.jpg

I was thinking along similar lines as all my loco's are stored in various cupboards and my wardrobe. On a recent visit to my local Swedish shop I saw a display cabinet that was made entirely of glass with I think three shelves, a lot like they use in shops for about £40.It would look grand with some of their LED strips installed(I like lights I do) and full of trains. Just got to get the idea past the domestic planning authority first .

I have one of those.....unfortunately its full of books:oops:
I have 3 of them full of Books and could probably do with a couple more, but no space to put them. Certainly IKEA Billy is a most useful piece pf Kit amd has been around for a lot of Years. Dang books are not worth a bean now so I need to start thinking about thinning them out. In truth the only ones I look at now are my Continental ones for info and inspiration on my Garden Railway so all those Coffee Table Books and books of British Steam could be done away with. Any one lend me a Round to it please?
