Hi Guys,

I've decided to switch to Peco for my new 45mm layout and at the moment have a mix of this and LGB.

Im looking at selling the LGB or swapping for peco. There will be straights, curves and a few R3 points less motors. Ive kept an eye on E bay and a few shops but have no idea what the going rate is! I expect I will sell on here but whats a fair asking price? ( no not free!) Hope this doesnt break any forum rules by asking.

If you sell for £3 a foot then I reckon that's a fair price....

Wot Gizzy says. £3 per foot seems to be about the going rate for used track at the moment.

R3 points is a trickier one. I've paid anything between £20 and £42 for used R3's with motors. Reckon £30 for motor less ones wouldn't be too far off the mark (depending on condition of course).

Agreed, £3/foot is about the going rate, certainly for used track in decent condition. If it looks brand-new then you might get a little more, on the other hand if it's very well used then maybe a little less. What radius curves do you have? R1 curves can be more difficult to sell (or have to be sold a bit cheaper) because most folks that have ever bought a starter set already have more R1s than they need! ;)
Straight track is always in demand (the longer individual lengths, the better) and points should sell well if in good condition.

Jon.

In the last month I've sold about 800 ft of track on eBay ranging from 90 for 10 x5ft flexi down to 20 for 10 x r1 curves .15 for r1 point's and 45 for 3s so as peeps have said 3 a foot not paying fees is about right. Sorry can't find to pounds sign on me phone
