A quick question....
My newly-arrived TL45 "Pfiffi" has a Zimo sound decoder factory-fitted, which works very nicely and sounds wonderful - but there is just one oddity...... the loco drives in the opposite direction to all my other chipped locos. In other words, while turning the knob on my Navigator to the right (clockwise) normally drives a loco forwards, the Pfiffi goes backwards - and vice-versa of course, to make it run forwards I have to turn the Navi knob anti-clockwise.
Now, I seem to recall that there has been mention of this being a peculiarity where G (or "large scale") locos run the opposite way to the NMRA DCC standard - and I believe some US-built locos actually have a changeover switch for selecting one or the other - so I'm assuming that for some reason the Zimo chip is set to the NMRA default rather than the accepted Large Scale setting?
I'm assuming there is a particular CV that changes this over, does anyone happen to know what this would be for a Zimo decoder? While it's not a big problem, I'd obviously like to have it set the same as everything else just to reduce potential operator confusion (ie: mine!).....
Thanks in advance for any help and advice!
Jon.
