Great day for an operating session today - with an uninvited visitor.

I have two robins which share my garden - a smartly turned out one and this one - which I call `Scruff`

I think he`s a reincarnated train-spotter. Likes to make sure I`m doing it right!

Friendly cheecky looking little beast. I have a resident Blackbird that squeaks at me if I am not digging the Garden for him. Never managed such a good picture as yours though.

Always lift my spirits to see a robin..

Love the care-worn guards van in the first shot. ;D

and I was expecting a brown box van that has travelled the world! :D

When I went to the 'Pictures' section to create the new post, the previous topic had been about the 'Round Robin Boxcar' and so I let fate take a hand in the titling.... Thought it apt ;D

GRS conversion bought half-finished on eBay - most of the detailing bits were missing - so decided to give it a lived-in look.

Hi Jon
Luck really, I was doing some filming with the video camera when he appeared so I just lifted it up and pointed it at him - these are stills taken from the video. Of course, as soon as I put the camera down, both robins appeared to feed on the sunflower hearts I'd put down for them - by the time I got the camera switched back on and focused they'd flit.

Where are all the names written???

Great shots Rik.
I too have a resident Robin.
Mine must be camera shy - or maybe the smoking locos put him off.

Nice shots. My wife looked out of the window, yesterday, and saw a less than lovely bird standing over our pond, a bl**dy great heron. We think she scared it away before it took any fish (may have had one). I got set straight out there with canes and string to put up anti-heron measures.
