Good first run with the rotary. Left it and it's pusher engine out overnite in the tunnel under the waterfall, covered up the ends to keep the snow out. So just had to put in the battery, which did not have a full charge, but it didn't do too bad on blowing the snow. Note the flanger between the trucks is working also. Did not see a way to embed the video, so here is the url:

Looks great. Works just like the real thing until the chute gets blocked. Still works well when the chute is blocked!

Great video. The plow seems to be a wonderful success. I've enjoyed the story of its build very much.

Tonight we had 50 degrees here. That's as warm as summer. And its even dry! So I'm not planning on my own plow yet. Now that's a challenge to the weather. It will probably dump lots of white stuff on me now!

Just had another thought - I don't miss the six months of snow and the 40 below zero! Keep on snow-blowing!

Great Plow and very impressive. Just a thought from warching the Vid and all the backing up that was going on. Was it snow clogging or just not enough momentum from the shoving loco?

Could be worth trying two shoving (or more) locomotives.

more to come... there better be. brilliant. be good to see it in more depth, although scale that was about right. more snow too deep? Jerry that just means you need to be out all night keeping the plough moving... :D
looks like a lovely spot.

Wow a snow munching beastie it really is!

And you've already got the snow in your part of the World too Jerry?

No 'Global Warming' issues there then....

With the winds the snow now has a hard crust on top, plus it was really cold today. -15F tonight they say. I did add some weight to the RS-3. I got some free weights at the tire shop that handles trucks. Filled the gas tank with 3.5 pounds of lead. Should make a difference in traction the next time. Plan to put some in the rotary also.
