Well I am still at it, tinkering that is. I have been working, on an off, on this for a few months. Last night I had some time to film it in action. It still needs a bit of finishing work however.

Neat. Imagine the guy's arm will get a little tired in time! Presume it's real ice?
 
No ice here. the cubes are Lionel ice blocks that are used in their icing station.

The roof hatch is also R/C controlled. Quite by accident, and to my pleasant surprise, both receivers act at the same time with the push of one button on the transmitter. That is the receiver in the building and the one in the box car both are tuned to the same transmitter.
