Railfan weekend on the Sandstone & Termite

While three of my mates were running their ‘foreign’ trains on SaTR metals, I decided to run a “Railfan Special” utilizing the oldest SaTR stock. This created plenty of work for the Train Controller to provide paths for the specials, with plenty of photo run-bys, amongst the heavy normal day-to-day traffic.
Come along for the ride, but remember to sign the Exemption Form absolving the Organisers of any responsibility for your own stupidity.

Great idea Greg, makes for a really interesting video. Having a narrative makes a lot of difference. I like the little extra touches such as the aerial view of the railfans beneath the viaduct.

All my locos are battery. The live steamers belong to my mates Keith and Terry (inventer of slo-mo). While I was 'interested' in live steam when I started G scale, I don't think I'll ever go to it now. Besides the ridiculous costs, it just takes too long to get the loco ready. Yes you can get some good steam effects on some days, but even with 'chuffers' I still can do better sound electronically. Each to his own.

I can't remember them appearing in Oz before around 2000.
