Is the reed for 'chuff', or to trigger a whistle?

You can do this from your Rx, if you wish to keep the sound facility?

the reed is for some configuration on DC.. there should be a connector for a speaker, and if this is a steam board, there should another cable with a tiny 2 pin connector for chuff (hard to find)
