Programing LGB 55034 Rolling Stock Decoder

Hi .
I have a LGB 55034 Rolling stock decoder, I have been trying to read the CV's with a Piko Navigator and Piko Central station, I connected a Grain of wheat globe to each function out-let. When I try to read the decoder I get an X on all read outs . I know the decoder address and I know the decoder is OK, I can turn on both functions although the globes are only just glowing, so I would think that the voltage is set for 5v. I tried to program CV 49 to 26 which is for 19 v but that did not change the globe connected to function 1 is still dull. Is there something I am missing . The decoder is several years old and I think I programed it when I had a 55015 Universal Remote .

As the 55034 is an old decoder, it may not allow programming using the method you are using. Try using "Register Programming" (which is the method normally used by the 55015 universal remote). The Navigator has an option to perform "Register Programming" that automatically uses sets CV6 and 5 as needed.

Hopefully that will sort it.
