The 908 (909”/?)is the ‘euro’ covered waiting platform.
It is narrower than the other large pola g baseplate, as you know.
The narrower one works alongside a larger station, or between station tracks.
It can also ‘lock in’ to the larger plates to make a ‘peninsula’ if you will, on either side of the larger plate. It has the same style ‘t’ locking bits.
Ive done this, but, imho, unless you have a rather long station siding, it requires a lot of room.
One can use the slope portion of the 908 to ‘cover’ the remaining’t’ on the larger station baseplate.
There is a larger pola baseplate, 904 i think, specifically designed for the schoenwiler station, toilet and waiting room buildings. These larger baseplates can be linked to create a rather large main platform for these buildings, typically 6, as i recall, (or any other pola g buildings that dont have their own baseplate),
The larger baseplates, sold in a box of 2, new, have become rather pricey, new or used.
The 908 is what it is. It adds interest. It could be used in front of a station as well. Its a waiting platform.
Fwiw, i suggest that the locking ‘t’ bits not be cut off, unless youre dead sure of final placement. They are very useful, overall, in creating a tightly seamed and level area. Gentle pressure will help prevent breakage. They can lock /unlock rather tightly.
Hope this if helpful.
