thats some KOF indeed
i have the 0-4-0 steam, bought it for my son very long ago
has been out of service for fifteen years, stored with all its accesories and driver, and only last year was again run-without any issues at all-like LGB-they can be entombed and resurrected much later, good as new
i think they are great trains, they run as smoothly and as reliably as LGB-they use skates, and a high quality motor
they only thing is, imho, that to go from toy to model is a great deal of re-work imho-the valve gear is for a child in its simplicity
unless however there is something specific about he wheels, spacing etc., i would think that the time and effort of a scatchbuild would likely merit the more robust LGB motor block, if for nothing more than power, longevity and ease of parts
