Whilst looking at Piko Points, I found that they are available at Rapid Electronics in Colchester.

That's handy, Giz, thanks for the heads-up - I did note that none of the stuff actually appears to be held in stock (unsurprisingly), it's all "available from European Warehouse" with about a week delivery time.
I reckon the fact that they list it is because of their tie-up with Conrad (either Rapid bought Conrad, or vice-versa, I'm not sure which), who are a large Continental supplier of hobby stuff, batteries etc.

Oooh... so are Rapid branching out and becoming more like Conrad? I always enjoy going round the Conrad stand at the big Stuttgart model show.

Interesting - the Piko R1 points are a quid 'n a half cheaper from Rapid than Conrad UK.

Rapid's delivery (UK) is free over 30 quid, I believe. Not that I've ever needed to use it, being about 2 miles from their warehouse/trade counter.....
