Thanks, Malcolm. I did have a look at those but they wanted too much for them (GRS? Surely some mistake!). I could order a new body as a spare for less, but really I'm just after something unwanted to chop up and combine with my actual 218. I'm being lazy, truth be told, as the bits I need could be made out of plasticard!
Aha I did wonder why you were not hacking the existing 218. Oh by the way if you wish to bring it (fully charged of course) to run on Wednesday with any other loco please feel free.
Excellent - that's smart! Thanks for that. Yes, my plan is to represent this same class, as originally supplied to the Sierra Minera railway and later passing to FEVE and beyond, such as the LBS, so shortening the 218 body a bit, changing the side grilles, door and window arrangement and lighting. A clever G Scale modeller in Spain has also done something similar, in FEVE livery, so I thought I too would have a try, and then it would seem there will perhaps be similar three models worldwide
