(do they line up? - Are they powerful enough?)</p><p>Are they 2 wire or 3wire? (What voltage? - Will they work with LGB point switch box?)</p><p>Thanks</p>

There was a review of the Piko point motors in a recent issue of the (German language) magazine Eisenbahn Profi (EP). Piko's motors are a drop-in replacement for the modern 2-wire LGB design.

Overall assessment by EP was that they were every bit as good as LGB's and had what looked like better weatherproofing (though since only just on the market that's EP's surmise, not experience). The only downside is that the Piko motor is rather wider than LGB's, mainly to allow for the weatherproofing seals. That said, EP reported no difficulty in fitting the motor in the same spaces as LGB's.

I certainly wouldn't hesitate to use them.
