I went to the Train show in Santa Rosa today with my little train buddy and his dad (Dad is recovering from his Heart stint surguery very nicely) great little show lots of layouts with Plenty of G scale. Accucraft had a stand with lots of Loco's including a very nice lightly used USRA switcher in Burlington livery at $750 dollars a veritable bargain as these usually sell in the $900 range so I said to train buddy I'd love that but the wife would kill me! so Dad says you don't have a wife anymore!! .................I offered them $600 cash and he jumped at it, apparently the only sale all weekend........................................

Anyway here it is an hour later running on my rails excuse the weeds I hav'nt had the heart for weeding much lately but it's getting better!!!!!!!

It ran for a good 30min's on the first run but when I refilled the gas and water for the second run it blocked the gas jet but was easily fixed it about 5 min's and off we went again, this time with the boiler full and the gas toped up when hot and the gas turned right down we ( Well my little buddy ) got fed up after 45min's so I let it sit until the safty blew just to check and off it went at 70Ib's. The chuff is very loud and gets a deeper woof when under load. I am really happy with this new engine even if it doesn't quite fit the European theme although I understand these were used in Europe and elswhere around the world. Well I'm off to run it again in the dark............Paul........

And all my curves are R3 on this section (Well the only section now as I tore all the outer loop out in a fit of anger) and it goes around with no problems at all, creeping around at dead slow or wizzing down the station stretch. I highly reccomend this engine as a good buy. I cant believe this is the same company that makes the Ruby.......................................

Paul i am delighted to know that you have a live steam engine again-and a beauty at that!
run it in good health and in the "Scotch fog"
