New From North Sussex

Welcome to the forum....

Welcome Babz... MOB LGB addict here in Salop. look forward to seeing some photos of the layout. brother in law was an Argus reporter back in the day, then South today via Southern sound !

Welcome to the forum, Babz. Youve made a great start already. Just remember, a layout, indoors or out, is never finished! In fact youre probably eyeing up a cheeky bit of land grab as you read this!

Nice to have you among us Babz146300 Babz146300 but do ignore the old miseries complaining about our exquisite humour. Lots of information and sound advice to be had here but you probably know that already. Speaking of information you say you completed your railway in four years, how on earth did you manage that?

Welcome to the forum, good start made but you do appear to be heading down the HSB (Harz mountains former East Germany) route with your current stock. Something you will find helpful as you build your line is to have a line to indoors somewhere if you can. The utility looks a likely place if domestic authorities will allow it. I keep my stock in sheds but locomotives of value live indoors on shelves close to the garden.

I have a Video of the finished Garden layout I will post if I can

That loco is lovely and I know nothing of it, I dont think I have ever seen that railcar (LGB 26391) running so had to google to get the info.

no back ache for you in that set up !

Hi DickyC , The design of the Garden railway was so that we can operate and put rolling stock on easily.I am now over 70 years old and full of arthritis. The railcar is from the Harz (HSB ) railway now in East Germany. The carraige is HSB as well and is ( Trainline45 ) I have bought most of my stock secondhand and have been really lucky.

Hi Dunnyrail , I have mostly Rhb & HSB we have a very secure area to keep my rolling stock as you say of Value and I do not tell anyone where it is stored.
I have a Rolling Road from RailStand Lee.Not Cheap but quality bit of kit

Welcome aboard.

Welcome to the forum Babz.
Over 70 and full of arthritis?! You'll fit right in. We can compare prescriptions when not talking about railways.
Trevor
Hi Anglian Yes We can compare Prescriptions as the list gets longer & Longer. But the railway keeps my mind of all pain that I have to live with but Hey Ho.Thank you for the welcome

Welcome to the Forum -and good to see you've got something running! Those bridges are quite something, aren't they? Did you build them yourself, or commission them?

Good Evening, It has taken a while to get to where we are.The silver bridge was made for me by a Guy on Ebay and he takes the funds for Charity.
The other Bridge was made by a Guy called Lorenz Kholer in Switzerland and he makes pucker bridges and other type of Viaducts and all the Supports needed I paid a very reasonable sum including postage from Switzerland..I could never build bridges like this as I have no feelings in the end of my fingers and I am banned from using power Saws/ Tools.TTFN Babs
