That's one impressive train.
Give in to the urges to get more, I believe the Super Chief with the ABBA lash up at the head end was often loaded to eleven cars.
Reminds me of when I was young, growing up in the fifties. Lionel's Super Chief set was way out of my parent's reach. I did eventually aquire a Lionel Santa Fe F3 set. One of the originals made in the late forties. I bought it when I was operating Hi-Rail in the eighties. They were certainly bomb proof. Ran as smooth as silk until I sold it to help fund my move to G scale. By the way, I havn't seen your railway for awhile. Impressive amount of work there.
Thanks for the positive comments guys.
I hope it will stop raining by the end of the week so I can continue constructing and laying more track.
As I know you all like pictures I'll post some more when there is any more change.
A very fine string of cars. Niiiiiiccccccee
I do love an American luxury train. I use Aristo cars (for the California Zephyr) and they weigh a ton due to being aluminium so only six can make it up my incline behind at least three powered locos. The LGB cars also look good inside.
You have added the interiors Eric or did you buy them ready complete?
Wow, nice train too, love it.
And love the landscaping, congratulations, lovely.
I think the Aristo's are a big longer and more to scale than the MLGB's
Mine are 76 cm long (2Ft 6inches)
The MLGB coaches come with full interior and lights fitted.
Now it's time to populate them.
Had to take a piece out of the legs from the man standing up in the dome car.
As a qualified "Dremel" butcher I can say he is doing fine and is already standing on his shortened legs.
