New Austrian Narrow Gauge Stock.

I have been down to Wellington to pick up some new rolling stock my mate has been building. All is the older "classic" agons that have not been represented by other modelling companies. They are all that was old Austrian narrow gauge in my opinion. I think he has captured the total essence of them All is scratch built in styrene with metal wheels. Some of the bogies he has built to be correct for the type of wagon. He actually models DR Harz, some of the private lines in Germany and Saxon railways himself - so this was a bit of a culture change. Over time we have taken all my four wheeled stock that is the usual "pretty" colors that LGB produced and painted and decaled them for Austrian

He has also created some pretty cool Guards and postal vans. I must confess here and now that guards vans are my "thing". they add character to a train and make the rake. I have five of the standard LGB postal vans and they are ok but they just don't quite cut it on a largish layout in many multiples- for me. As a result I now can just await the bogie combine from LGB in the next Austrian push (I pray and hope). There are also a couple of ones that I have made up as part of my collection. You will notice the decaling is slightly different to Waynes. I model Steyrtalbahn and two didn't run on there but they capture the "classic" Austrian feel so I run them. Rule 8 applies! ;-)

The plating on the last coach has a certain brutalist appeal.

Very nice builds. Can you manage to show some of his Harz Builds please, they would be of great interest to me and a few others on the forum.

Excellent. You cant have too many break/guard/baggage vans.

It is eh! I found a drawing for one similar in Slezak's book and decided to try to replicate it. :) I will post some of his Harz and Saxon models soonest.
