Certainly a fascinating operation, note the marine features on a lot of the rollingstock!
 
This is a fancy one, it has a roof! Most are just slightly more basic than a Simplex and the trailer is a flat steel plate with four wheels underneath. There are quite a few on the North German coast connecting to the islands, some can only run when the tide is out and as this is the Wattenmeer it is basically a mud flat with shallow water. :nerd:
 
I really like those tyred old buffers....
