More Snow in Hemel Hempstead today

I have done a Vid ( in the relevant section) these are some pics that I also took today. The dog is Lucky that I am looking after at the moment for a friend (I got lucky at the weekend!).

Just in case anyone of you wondered why Lucky has been posted, well she just appears in the Vid. I know there is a love of Dogs in the Forum so I thought that some of you might be interested to see a better picture of her.

I was in York yesterday so could not clean up the dusting of Snow that we had. We had had some more in Hemel by the time I got home and maybe a little more overnight. So it was time to get the Aristo Snow Plow out again. Disaster, the snow from yesterday had frozen to the rails and the plow bumped along the track badly. I managed to get some of the line cleared, but only a short bit - not enough to get trains running fully again. Now to get things worse it has been snowing heavily since 1100 this morning. Will the Dunnybahn be like the train set down the road at Hemel Station? Probably. Will post a Vid of how I managed this morning when I get it loaded.

Wish I had gone out to see the A4 that was booked to run from Kings Cross this morning. But would I have ever got home? There are supposed to be 2 puffers out of Victoria on Tuesday. May go to phot them if trains are running at all.

Strange..nobody ever mentions car de icing fluid to clear the rails. Anyone tried it?

Ever seen what happens to car paintwork if de-icer is left there too long? It works really well to soften most plastics too, I wouldn't advise it.

Something did go funny with my Vids yesterday. Still it loaded but all my comments went for a burton. I have put them back in so here is the promised vid:-
