Hi,

I have a RhB Ge 4/4 III with a Massoth XLS installed by a dealer in 2006, and I am looking for the sound sheet and sound assignment for that decoder and some help with the programming.

I am trying to move the assignment of sounds around a bit to different Function keys, but have problems with moving sounds to anything from F9-F16. F1-F8 is no problem. I have set CV49=2 (load control on and only parallel data transfer), the latter to be able to access function keys beyond F12.

According to the current sound sheet available on the Massoth web-site the following sound default assignment is like this:
F-key Sound
1 Horn
2 Brakes
3 Horn with Echo
and so on...

When I do a reset of the sound CV131-167 (CV7=111) I get this sound arrangement:
F-key Sound
1 Horn
2 Horn with Echo
3 Brakes
.......etc

I assume this early Massoth XLS decoder has a different assignment than more recent versions?
Also, I do not understand why I cannot program any sound to a new function key from F9-F16.

Yes CV7 =111 is an early version.

I have a manual for the 1.2 version but no earlier. PM me your email address and I'll send it to you

In the 1.2 manual, it would seem that you can only use FKey 1 thru FKey 12 to trigger sounds.
