Still having problems getting sound onto Massoth XLS decoder.
I can program any CV, read it, alter it etc, but when it comes to downloading sound files, I use the Dimax Service Tool v 1.3, select the sound file which I have downloaded ( or is available on CD), connected to the correct port, but all I get is a notice about timeout. The decoder is in a basic loco, connected to the motor and as I can program CVs without problems it must be connected OK.
Can anyone shed any light, please ?
I have tried different sound files and a different loco, but no success
 
Hi Tony,
What are you using to do the programming through--a Massoth central station or the separate Massoth programming module?
For downloading sounds you need that separate programming module.
