I don't know about you, but I really enjoy poring over maps. I can read a map like others read books. Just picked up a copy of 'Mapping the Railways' in my local 'The Works' bookshop for £6.99 (+ 10% off = £6.29).

To my mind, it's a fascinating read with a range of maps from posters, through to large scale OS maps of specific areas. It covers all the UK (but not the Isles of Man or Wight for some reason). However, there are sections on the Ffestiniog and the Kent & East Sussex - among many others.

Here's the contents list to whet your appetite.

I don't think I'd have paid £25 for it but at just over £6 it's well worth it, methinks.

Just one word of caution. There is a similar book published by The Times with authors Spaven & Holland.
It has a different cover but inside it's the same book.
