Luxury travel at Dunn's River

I've run the odd steam and battery loco during the winter but the lovely weather this week prompted me to clean the track and run the first track powered train of the season.

I opted to run the dining train mainly to give a run to the only new item of rolling stock purchased since 2009 - an 'all blue' Orient Express coach that you can see coupled next to the loco.

This is by far my most swanky train and looks particularly nice at dusk with all the interior lighting. Here is another view, approaching the distinctly scruffy station area - plenty of repair and maintenance needed there over the next few weeks.

oww very posh, it suits you sir!!

Neat!

That's a nice looking station area.

Nice to see such a fine looking loco and a grand rake of coaches. And the station area looks really natural!

Much less luxury for the tourists on today's train.

This pic also shows that I need to pull my finger out and get some fresh ballast down:brokeheart:

That is a cracking shot as there is almost nothing to give away the fact that it isn't full size

The shrubs and greenary in the background is spot-on Philip.

Thanks Mel, my approach to planting is very scientific - I go to B&Q, buy any Hebe, conifer or herb with small leaves or the word 'dwarf' in it's name; then prune the hell out of it untill it either lives or dies:bigsmile:
This particular Hebe is getting a bit tall now so it will be getting a particularly savage chop soon.
