Lost the display on 1200z

Hi everybody. This is my first post on this forum, hope you can advise me. The display screen on my Massoth 1200Z now just shows a series of squares in various shades of blue. The unit still seems to function correctly in all other respects. So before I ship it off to Massoth at great expense, has anybody any ideas ? Thanks
 
Does it go through the boot sequence correctly?
I had a similar thing happen with mine, where the display froze halfway through the boot sequence. I tried software updates, but in the end I sent it back to Massoth.
 
Hmmm, that sounds like an annoying problem - if it still works, and most (all?) of the data that should be on the screen is replicated on the Navigator screen, then is it worth sending it back, with all the attendant costs and time without it, or just continue to use it as is? I'm assuming it's out of the warranty period?
