Lionel Caboose so far.

Just a few modifications to an old Lionel caboose,left it mainly stock,repainted exterior,only added new glazing,sunshades,A n B ends sport new handrails,(new boarding cut after removing moulded ones)new roofwalks made from styrene,whitewall tyres,interior was painted black and defuser added to stop light "bleed"through the body,,,,,,lettering,weathering,new couplings and a brakeman should finish it off.

I thought I posted a reply here yesterday. Anyway, you've done a great job with the caboose. I've always thought that Lionel did a spot-on job with this car. Proportions and just enough detail to make it look good on more detailed layouts. But what you have done so far really brings out it's beauty.

Thanks Dan,I had not seen one before until i saw this one on the secondhand shelf in the store,so brought it home,just had to BTW,not finished as its final use not decided yet,,,,will end up as a caboose,OR,a staff/service car for my own private/business car under constuction at the moment,bashing a Bachmann observation,,,,,time will tell.
