Several years ago I 'snapped up' as you do - a bargain Rigi Duo from Germany. On quick inspection and knowing nothing about them it appeared to be complete.
Only now when I try to assemble it do I find that not only are the instructions in German but far worse it is missing the 'mountain station' bracket with its 4 pulleys together with cable clips.
Is there anywhere that I might find replacements? Champex Linden don't appear to stock spares.
Alternatively, and I know it is a big ask, could anyone give me dimensions for the bracket and it's pulley placings? It would not have to be mm perfect.
Thanks

EDIT:- I note that many other 900 and 9000 versions of this have a single large pulley at the mountain station. I wonder if that is all I would need for this model?

keith, I have a 900 and a 9000.

I would think you could use a large pulley, as do these. the problem is stability, which the mountain station provides.
Heres a pic for you to eyeball. it would seem that the critical factor is adequate spacing for the cars to pass, along with careful alignment of the pulleys-I would think a block of wood, some stainless screws and a large metal plates with holes to attach to the block and then to a base, with bushing sleeves-maybe Teflon tubing, inside each pulley might be fairly easy to fabricate.

I started building a funicular a few years ago - used plastic wheels with the tyres prised off (gives a 5" Dia pulley. viz;

Its unfinished - was intended as part of my trailer display - illness intervened.

Now funi-ly enough I built a cliff lift many years ago from a rigi duo . I put the powered station at the top so I probably still have the other pulley somewhere . I'll venture into the garage over the weekend and have a look.

Thread drift for Mick. I like your funi and its a shame it never made it to the trailer . I'm just curious why it had a lower sheave ?
