LGB MTS Central Station - Red Light of Doom?

Hi all,

Have just powered up a 55006p for the first time, and all I'm getting is a continuous steady red light. The manual doesn't say what this means. Has anybody else come across it? If its faulty, what sort of cost am I looking at to get it sorted?

According to the manual (page 14) at http://www.champex-linden.de/lgb_pr...DD10E68525714C005F8C54/$FILE/55006_042006.pdf, a constant red light means . . .

"Central Station is
overheating. Wait until the Central
Station has cooled off. Improve air
flow to the Central Station. After the
Central Station has cooled off, the
LED flashes red. Press the emergency
stop button on your MTS
throttle and resume operation with
fewer locomotives."

I'm assuming it's a second-hand item (otherwise you should get a repair under warranty).

As to whether there's anything you can do about it, I'm afraid I can't help. In your place, I would seek advice from Pete Skinner at Chalk Garden Rail (http://www.chalkgardenrail.co.uk/contact).

If all fails contact Massoth they can (or used to) repaie at a reasonable cost and fairly quick too.
