LGB locomotive (MFX) full speed only?

My LGB locomotive (24742) was running fine today. but had a glitch on the network and stopped responding for some reason. I had to reset the decoder. Now it only operates at full speed even on speed setting one. It ramps up to full speed on any speed setting. Other functions work okay. It's not a controller issue as I have checked that. Any suggestions?

Loco doesn't stop running...

Gurus, Continuing my exploration with the 29791 loco, I ran into this problem. As soon as I place the loco on the track, it starts running. I tried resetting the MS. Cleared all locos from the MS....
