Stand clear, this train is about to pass through.
The starter set with the two 'engine' ends plus a middle 2nd class carriage was a great idea by LGB and especially the unique way in which they just pushed together.

Oh yes, one of my favourite LGB models. I have a similar arrangement, but with a powered trailing car. I also add power pickups to adjacent trucks for better slow speed performance (did these ever run slow at all?).

I also have an extended string of the earlier 'boxy' LCE and the silver Amtrak versions. I do like these products.

Very nice - well suited to you layout too! Was it going as fast as possibile - it would stand going a bit quicker and still look good!
