LGB 5093 distant signal (Vr0/Vr2 model)

I'm looking for this signal, the model with the non-flipping disk, not LGB 5091. Any condition, boxed or not.
Any leads welcome.
There's a couple on US ebay (one non-working) but I don't want the customs hassle.

I bought a used / non-working 5093 from US ebay (another story) which is very grubby but more or less complete, and I'm sure it can be cleaned and repaired. However there is some damage to the pivot mechanism at the rear of the yellow disk.

If anyone who has a 5093 (or 5091/50910) could please take a picture of the rear of the disk so I can see what it is meant to look like I'd be very grateful. Mine looks like some animal has been chewing at it!

(I should say I have googled extensively but no picture of the rear of the disk, plenty of the front of the signal.)

Thanks, Dave

Hi Dave - one more bit of info. A second look showed that the signal disk is identical on both vorsignals 5091 and 5093. The only difference is the pin pointed to in the pic below that keeps the disk fixed on the 5093. If all else fails, you should be able to get a replacement from the Märklin website. I'm not sure what the part is called auf Deutsch, no parts diagram was quickly found, but most parts for the 51910 seem to be in stock. I believe the signal mast parts have not changed over the years.

Thanks Phil, exactly what I was after. Mine is shown below, so what is missing is the model counterweight for the flipping disk. As I said it looks like it has been chewed off by a small animal of some kind. Thanks also for researching the spare part. As you say I'm sure they are same parts on the 5091 (Vr1/Vr0) and 5093 (Vr2/Vr0), the model of the latter has a locking pin to stop the disk flipping.

As I had to take my 5093 apart to clean it, I thought I would show all the parts in a kind of exploded parts diagram should anyone else need to disassemble one of these or the similar 5091.

As well as the disk counterweight the right hand lamp has part of the handle missing, but I can fix that myself.

I've not shown the bulbs which fit in the lamps, or the associated wires which attach to the pins in the mast base, as they had perished. The bulbs work so just need to do bit of soldering.

Here is the assembled signal in Vr2 aspect (expect Hp2 slow ahead) then Vr0 (expect Hp0 stop ahead).

I have used another well-used second hand LGB 5091 Vr0/Vr1 distant signal to make model of a pre-war Austrian Verschubsignale (shunting signal). See here to see how they operated.

As you can see they "flip" like the Vr0/Vr1 signal.

I started off by dismantling the LGB signal (see previous posts for how this is done). I removed one of the lights and static spectacle, and replaced the green and amber lenses on the moving spectacle with blue and clear. The lenses just pop out, and the replacements are made from plastic food packaging, cut to size. It's quite hard to cut a circle, but if you cut a square of the right size, then cut the corners of to make an octagon, then cut the corners off that to make a 16-sides regular polygon (hexadecagon?) then you're almost there.

The signal is made from strips of plasticard, painted Humbrol blue. The distant signal plate can't be easily removed as it holds the controlling wires in place, so I made a speed limit sign to fit from paper printed using Bahnschrift font. As this is indoors no need to worry about it being waterproof (I hope!). Some weathering powder applied liberally, and some brown paint to make the control wires a bit "rusty" and job done.

An actual one from Steyrtal Museumsbahn is shown for comparison. I haven't attempted a scale model, this is more of a working recognisable representation.
