LGB 48570 RhB Haik-v Schiebewandwagen / Sliding wall car

As I suspected from other forum posts, there were some issues with this car.

The most negative for me was:

RhB logo with inkjet printing
- Very coarse surface, which will get dirty very easily
- Unknown if you can clean it afterwards without damage
- Print layers are clearly visible
- Very thick print layer which doesn’t round the edges
- The durability in outdoor use is a question mark

Other issues:
- Roof weathering with a stripe on the roof which isn’t even straight and precise
- MLGB should leave weathering to the customer, since there are so many preferences at the customers.
- Brown glossy paint: silk matt gone out?

All very different from the known LGB quality:
- Durable paint
- Pad printing
- Clear coat

It looks that MLGB goes the cheap road in production technics.
They even do unpainted H0 locomotives with inkjet printing.

That’s not the quality I want from MLGB.
MLGB uses this inkjet printing on more and more cars and even on locomotives.

So I cancelled my order.

The RhB logo looks more like vynal to me - maybe to facilitate changing liveries - if it is, there should be no problem for outdoor use. The other white printing looks OK.

No they are inkjet printing I'm afraid and far too thick for realisim. It's rather worrying that I've seen several inkjet prints damaged in the box so how will they hold up in the garden?
I wish they'd go back to pad printing as it's thinner and robust. Really rather disappointed with some of the recent liveries using this compared to the older models I have.
