This loco was purchased analogue, subsequently professionally upgraded to Massoth DCC with sound. Also originally it was U2 "Zillertal", but I purchased replacement plates from Peter Woods Nameplates to rename it as U1 "Raimund". As far as I know the ex-factory Raimund only ever appeared as part of ther 20705 Zillertal "Sammler Edition" set back in 2000-2002 (800 items only according to the Lok book) and I wished I'd bought one then. The new plates are applied with Copydex in order to be easily removable if you wanted to revert to U2. Also included are a set of plates for #5 "Gerlos". I know that wasn't a U-class but it offers some variation to the collector of these locos. It runs well and us currently Loco address 2 but I can change that if required.
It's a good runner and the sounds work fine. Smoke unit not tested.
It is also fitted with a single rear mounted Massoth DCC uncoupler that is not responding at present. Paul at P&S has talked me through how to fix it (its a known problem apparently) but I'm ham fisted so I'm not going to risk it. Please assume that it is non-functional and if you can get it to work that would be a bonus. It works perfectly well as a standard LGB coupler.
