LGB 20922's big brother arrives at the VoR

I think that may be the one that was in a Garden Centre in Switzerland. Sure I read somewhere that it had been sold but never imagined for a moment that it would end up at the VofR. Interesting though, may well when in running order act as a Thunderbird for the WHR. Be great to see it climbing to Devils Bridge all be it on a Private Charter.

Stranger things have happened but I doubt it as there are already six on the WHR, all of the later NGG 16 series. The VoR example, number 60, is an earlier NGG 13 so some parts may not be as easily exchanged between locos. I imagine it may be more likely to make the odd guest appearance at special events.

Evidently they took two brigadelok 0-8-0's in part exchange.

"The Garratt steam locomotive Drakensberg has left forever news regarding the steam locomotive Garratt - Drakensberg dear friends of the Schinznach nursery railway, in the late afternoon of July 11, 2017 us in the direction of a new home.
The Club Schinznach nursery railway to take this step has decided with a heavy heart because this locomotive in the nursery medium is, and is excluded in the long term for various reasons.
As soon as the Drakensberg again will be in operation, we will of course communicate this at this point. We wish the locomotive and its new owner for the future all the best and we would be delighted if the new place again many people on the locomotive would enjoy."
