These appeared to sell out almost as soon as LGB/Marklin released them.
The same happened with the similar 2-10-2 released the previous year but this model will be re-released shortly. This may happen with the model you want so you may be able to buy one new in due course. Hopefully you'll find a source before then.

20481 is the green sachsen vik 0-10-0. Do a search on line and youll find photos.

when it came out, it didnt catch my eye, tooooo big, chunkish /clunkish body/water tanks, long wheel base tiny drivers…
ive changed, and, i want a synchronized smoke and cylinder exhaust loco
these sachsen locos are ….odd but so wonderfully ugly theyre cool

its happened to me with each sachsen loco offered, so im always playing catch up, in a time when production numbers are much less than old lgb.

Thanks Neil ill hang tight.
'you're likely right,
they are doing this come feb 2023 with the SOEG green sachsen ivk, which, i pre ordered
hope it has the ‘better’ mfx exhaust sound, which is one reason i passed on the initial wood box version for 2 black versions.

There is an alternative if you want a Saxon V1k in green and that is the 20489 same colour and spec just a different running number look on the German ebay site. I find the V1k is the perfect loco for my line with little overhang on R3 curves and the ability to haul a lengthy train. Hope you find your dream
